A high-stakes poker home game turned bloody when two armed men attempted to rob the home of former Duke University and Atlanta Braves baseball player Gregg Maluchnik. Both the intruders were shot at and one was fatally injured. Gregg Maluchnik held a poker gambling gatherings at his home quite often but on Monday night the two masked intruders, armed with guns, burst into his home. The men tried to rob the poker players who were present at the event but were met with much resistance. The two eventually became the victims of their own crime. In the struggle, both men were fired at. When the police arrived they found one man dead inside the house. He was identified as Brandon Dwain Shelton, 28. The other intruder, Brian Matthew Onley, 23, was found lying on the outside lawn with a gunshot wound to his arm. Police records showed that Shelton was known to have served to me in prison for past convictions and his associate, Onley, was on probation for assault.
