The European government has is moving to ban food produced from cloned animals. What has this got to do with internet casinos? Nothing really, except that you kind of notice a pattern where lawmakers seem to fear technology and change. Gambling laws very from country to country.

When you look over history there has always been opposition to great ideas that involved advancement and actual change. Same is the case with cloning or even internet gambling. Law makers who were born and raised in times when such concepts as like internet or cloning did not exist find such changes very hard to accept. However the youth of today find modern marvel to be a part of life.

There seems to be no reasons, at least none that the European Parliament spoke of, for the rejection of food form cloned animals. The only reason that can be deduced is that lawmakers are way of advances that are new and perhaps strange.

Online gambling seems to be facing the same kind of prejudices and negativity. Many lawmakers cite urban myths about internet gaming as facts in their attempts to ban online gambling which is something completely new to them. Some lawmakers use the most false accusations against online gambling. They compare online gambling to cocaine and state that online gambling is as addictive as cocaine, which tries to imply that online gambling is far more addictive than land based gambling when in fact the reverse is true.

Whether it was the invention of the light bulb, the airplane, or even online casinos, there are always some people who fear advancement and refuse to accept change. What these people must understand is that change is what keeps the world going round. And when it comes to online gambling, it’s just gaming after all.
